Reflexology can support and benefit just about anything or anybody. Imbalances within the body often appear on the feet before it’s obvious to the individual. Prevention is better than cure, a referral to a suitable qualified professional can be made where necessary.

Reflexology treatments can still be conducted even if you are undergoing medical treatment, please let us know if you have any concerns. 

 

Specific studies have shown that reflexology can decrease premenstrual symptoms, reduce fatigue, insomnia, pain and anxiety. Reflexology can also aid in alleviating the following:

What can I expect from a treatment?

At the start of your first session, the practitioner  will conduct a thorough health, diet and lifestyle consultation. This will involve finding out about any medication that you take, recent operations and illnesses and your reasons for treatment. It’s important to tell the practitioner  everything, no matter how minor a symptom may seem. 

 

Having built up a picture of your current state of health, the practitioner will explain what the treatment involves so you can focus on relaxation. The practitioner may play gentle relaxing music during your treatment or may burn oils or candles to add to the tranquil atmosphere.

How do I know if I am seeing a professional therapist?

If you want to be sure you are seeing a professional practitioner, check they are registered with a professional association. If they are registered, you can be sure they have undergone specialized training.

Choices individuals make on a daily basis have a great impact on their health and well-being. To be your own best ally in the process of change, make sure to:
